Press Release

SDS launches new asset specialist consultancy arm

Surrey, 22nd May 2017. SDS (Shelton Development Services) is launching a new asset consultancy to help the housing sector.

SDS Asset Consultancy is an active Asset Management and Asset Consulting Service that uses the latest systems and processes to generate value for housing clients.

Born out of SDS, the UK’s leading vendor and creator of project appraisal, control and profiling software, SDS Asset Consultancy uses our industry expertise and knowledge to deliver successful outcomes for our clients.

Active Asset Management is using good business intelligence to understand clients’ current stock performance – to help plan for future investment and asset disposal.

It also aims to help to make better use of capital as part of an integrated asset and business planning solution. Together this will increase the value of housing organisations.

The SDS Asset Consultancy team will assist Boards, Executives and Asset Teams to develop their approach to active asset management by identifying the next steps and opportunities available to them.

The SDS consultants will work with clients to jointly develop their strategy, policy and action plans, or they will augment the Asset team to deliver outputs directly.

Rowley Maggs, International Business Development Director at SDS, is heading up the Asset Consultancy after two years at the company, helping European housing professionals, consultants and service providers develop and manage property portfolios. His previous experience includes work in oil and gas, construction and senior care housing.

“This is a great opportunity to build on SDS’s 23 years in the sector and on our consultants’ experience, and to leverage Stock Profiler to help our clients formulate and deliver their asset strategy,” says Maggs.

“I’ve known Rowley for many years,” adds Phil Shelton, CEO at SDS, “and he’ll be working closely with James Laird and Mike Victory-Rowe, both sector specialists to deliver our Asset Consultancy.”
